Have You Experienced Narcissistic Abuse?

We’re Here to Help

How We Can Help

We help you overcome the effects of narcissistic abuse so you can heal and move forward with your life.

1. Matching

The first thing we’ll do is meet with you one-on-one to match you with a licensed mental health professional you feel comfortable with.

2. Sessions

You’ll meet with them 1 to 4 times a month — it’s up to you how often — to work through the effects of narcissistic abuse you’re experiencing.

3. Homework

After each session, you’ll receive homework designed to help you take meaningful steps forward in the work you’re doing with us.

4. Check-Ins

Between sessions, they’ll check in to help you stay on track — and you can reach out anytime if you’re feeling stuck or unsure what to do next.

5. Support

Our mental health professionals run a weekly support group you can join if you have a question — or just need someone to talk to between sessions.

6. Community

We have a private community that you can use to connect and learn from others who understand what it’s like to experience narcissistic abuse.

Who You’ll Be Working With

This is how we make sure you’re matched with a mental health professional you can trust.

1. Qualifications

They must have a master’s degree in psychology and at least five years of experience working with people recovering from narcissistic abuse.

2. Screening

They go through a series of interviews so we can evaluate their clinical skills, ethics, and understanding of narcissistic abuse.

3. Training

If selected, they take part in monthly group training to continue building their skills and deepening their understanding of narcissistic abuse recovery.

4. Feedback

After each session and support group, we send members a feedback form to help us improve the quality of our care.

Our Story and Mission

Unfilteredd is an organization dedicated to helping people build a life free from the effects of narcissistic abuse that reflects who they truly want to be.

We were founded in 2021 by Juliana and Elijah Akin. Here’s why:

Juliana grew up around a lot of narcissistic people, and this distorted her understanding of what healthy relationships are.

This all began to change when she walked into a café in Rauma, Finland, and met Elijah.

He had gone through similar experiences with narcissistic abuse but had a deeper understanding of it at the time.

So, he was able to help Juliana understand many different things, and their relationship created the space they both needed to work on themselves and heal.

But the more they learned about narcissistic abuse, the more they realized just how fortunate they were to be in the position they were in.

Millions of people spend their entire lives struggling with the effects of narcissistic abuse, often without even fully realizing it.

And yet, because they happened to be in a café at the same time in Rauma, Finland, of all places, they were able to connect and turn their lives around.

So, many years after meeting for the first time, they decided to create Unfilteredd to make the turning point they found in the café that day accessible to everyone.

They started by just writing articles, but over the years, they’ve recruited several mental health professionals to help build Unfilteredd into what it is today:

No matter what your story is, we believe you deserve and are capable of living a life free from the effects of narcissistic abuse that reflects who you truly want to be.

The path to this life isn’t easy—it’s full of twists and turns; ups and downs. But it’s definitely possible, and we’re committed to being by your side every step of the way.
